    • “ Kip, I really appreciate the work you obviously put into making this presentation. My two concerns are: 1) lack of attendees and 2) what the heck would you do if several more people actually showed up? Despite Steve's comments about Java losing steam, I hear that it is still quite popular, so I would definitely like to continue learning more about this segment of the market. Actually, if you are the Java expert, Steve clearly can be the .NET expert and I'll take on the role of being the Perl expert. One thing that might be fun would be for the three of us to compare notes and see for ourselves just how these three technologies compare in terms of being used to build "real life" applications for the web. As far as low attendance, I've been thinking that it might simply be a cyclical thing. The MySQL meetup had very low attendance last month as well. Let's see what happens this month. As I already told you, I think your approach of actually setting an agenda is great! ”
