This meetup group is for java developers and 3d artists involved in a new Multiverse (www.multiverse.net) beta developers project, currently referred to as Project Hobbes.
Members are involved in taking the Multiverse beta engine releases and modifying the modules in order to implement our game design. Other members are responsible for creating the 3d art that will make the world unique in appearance as well as game play.
Project Hobbes is a MMORPG project which combines elements of RTS (real time strategy) and civilization-building games with the traditional playstyle of massively multiplayer online role playing games such as Dark Age of Camelot and World of Warcraft. Project Hobbes will have a rich PvP environment, encouraging true collaborative PvP play. Individuals not wishing to participate in the stuggle for worldly control may choose their own paths and still find more than enough to keep them engaged in the game world.
